Drug Kingpin Rashid Khan has been arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police in Bareilly. He had reportedly been on the run for the last two years changing his location frequently to keep the cops at bay.

Rashid Khan was running the western UP module of drug supply which over the years has become the prime supplier of contraband to Delhi.

The cops faced some resistance from locals and the community members when they tried arresting Khan, the accused tried jumping from a two storey building and make a run for it before getting arrested. The cops immediately after the arrest moved him to Delhi.

Speaking to The Times of India, DCP (Special Cell) Sanjeev Yadav said, “A reward of Rs 50,000 was declared for his arrest and he was declared a proclaimed offender by the court.”

The arrest is attributed to the arrest of two of Rashid Khan’s associates in 2016, who upon interrogation revealed that Khan is the centre of all this and has been controlling the syndicate from Bareilly.
