Leading Direct to Home (DTH) operator Tata Sky has announced additions to the quantitative HD add-on packs, known as ‘mini-packs’, reports Trak.in. The packs start from Rs 5.

Previously, the DTH operator used to offer 21 packs for SD and HD each, which were available on the Tata Sky website. This move comes after the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) rolling out the new tariff regime ensuring consumers pay only for the channels they wish to watch.

The 13 mini packs are add-on HD packs and were introduced by the operator on Friday (15 February). The channels in the packages are priced in the range of Rs 60 to Rs 216.

The add-on packs include channels of Tamil Regional HD pack (Rs 164), Tamil Mini HD Pack (Rs 81), Telugu Regional pack (Rs 216) and Telugu Regional Mini HD pack (Rs 90). These packs are also available in Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali and even 12 channels in the English Movies HD mini pack (Rs 162).
