National Conference chief and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah has said that he hopes Article 370 will be restored in Jammu and Kashmir with China's support, reports India Today.
As per the report, Abdullah claimed that China has never accepted the abrogation of Article 370 and its current belligerence along the LAC is a result of the same.
"Whatever they (China) are doing at LAC in Ladakh all because of the abrogation of Article 370, which they never accepted. I am hopeful that with their support, Article 370 will be restored in J&K", Abdullah has been quoted as saying.
Abdullah also criticised Prime Minister Modi for his meetings with Chinese Premier Xi Jinping in Mahabalipuram and Ahmedabad. Abdullah also continued to train his guns on the abrogation of Article 370 by terming it "unacceptable".
Abdullah was placed in detention under the Public Safety Act or PSA after the ending of special status to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 and was released in March. He was charged with "disturbing public order" under the law.
