Fresh Dates for JEE, NEET 2020 Announced

Union Minister for Human Resource Development Ramesh Pokhriyal has announced a new set of dates for major entrance tests.
The engineering entrance exam (JEE Main) and medical entrance exam (NEET) will be held in July. JEE Main will be held from July 18-23 and NEET will be held on July 26.
The information was given by the Ramesh Pokhriyal today while addressing a live webinar.
The admit cards of the registered candidates will be released soon. The admit cards will have details of the exam centre, exam city and session of the exam. The admit cards will be released by the exam conducting agency, National Testing Agency (NTA).
NEET - July 26
JEE (MAIN) test to be held from July 18, 20, 21, 22 & 23
JEE (ADVANCED) to be held in August
Initially, the NEET UG exam 2020 was scheduled to be conducted on May 3 while the JEE Main April session exam was scheduled to begin from the first week of April. However, both the examinations were postponed after the Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a nationwide lockdown till April 14 due to the coronavirus outbreak. The lockdown was subsequently extended till May 3 pushing the exam dates even further. Now, the lockdown has been extended till May 17.
Lakhs of anxious students have been raising their concerns and seeking clarification regarding issue like postponement of exams, promoting students without exam during lockdown, expected dates of examination.
According to the National Testing Agency (NTA), for JEE Main over nine lakh candidates have registered, on the other hand over 15.93 lakh students are likely to take up the NEET 2020 exams.
