Having formed a post-poll alliance with the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) to form a government in Haryana, Chief Minister (CM) Manohar Lal Khattar of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is now set to expand his cabinet over the next two days, reports The Hindu.

The expansion of the cabinet will be completed by 13 November given CM Khattar has already finalised the names of the ministers at a meeting held with BJP's national President Amit Shah along with other senior leaders of the party, source were cited in the report as saying.

It should be noted that CM Khattar had taken the oath as the CM of the State for a second term on 27 October, with JJP's Dushyant Chautala taking the oath to serve the as Deputy CM. However, no ministers have been administered the oath to office yet.

The elections to the 90-member State's Assembly were held on 21 October and the results for the same were announced by the Election Commission on 24 October. The results paved the way for the JJP and the BJP to forge an alliance to form a government in the State, with BJP having 40 seats while the JJP has 10 seats in the state Assembly.
