The custom-built mobile ambulances will act as an accessory attached to the motorcycles built by the company. These will boast of engine capacity of 150cc or more and will help in reaching out to the patients in rural and remote parts of the nation and aid their movement to the nearest hospital facilities.
These mobile ambulances will boast of a slew of features including sleeping arrangement and medical equipment like a first-aid kit, oxygen cylinder, fire extinguisher and siren.
The latest development comes even as Hero MooCorp has already announced a corpus of Rs 100 crore towards the nation's fight against COVID-19. this includes a contribution of Rs 50 crore to the dedicated PM-CARES fund.
Furthermore, Hero Group run BML Munjal University in Haryana's Dharuhera has also offered its 2,000-bed hostel facility to be used for isolation and treatment by the local health department.
