In a positive development for the nation's economy, India has improved two ranks to the global seventh from previous year's ninth position in the Brand Finance Nation rankings of 2019, reports The Economic Times.
As per the latest report of Brand Finance, India has witnessed a remarkable growth of 19 per cent in the overall brand value to $2.6 trillion. The renowned rankings are prepared by the independent brand valuation consultancy Brand Finance.
It should be noted that Canada which had occupied the seventh position last year has slipped to the eighth rank, ceding its previous high to India, while the United States (US), China and Germany continued to occupy the top three positions.
Meanwhile, japan occupied the fourth rank, the United Kingdom (UK) occupied the fifth rank, while South Korea stood at ninth rank, a rank higher than its previous position at number ten.
