The government is likely to release evidence of the air strike conducted on the Jaish-e-Mohammed camp in Pakistan’s Balakote, reports say.

Evidence of dogfight between fighters of India and Pakistan following the latter’s attempt to strike military targets in Kashmir will also be released.

The Army, Navy and the Air Force will be holding a press briefing at 7 pm. The briefing, which was to take place at 5 pm, has been postponed.

Earlier today, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met chiefs of the three armed forces and reviewed the security situation. She is likely to visit Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow to take stock of the situation along the border.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security which has the finance, home, external affairs and defence ministers as its members. This will be followed by a meeting of the union cabinet.

Moreover, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is likely to call Prime Minister Modi sometime today. However, it remains unclear if the Indian side has accepted Pakistan’s offer of talks between Modi and Khan.
