Indian And Chinese Tanks Now Stationed Within Firing Range At LAC As Tensions Continue

The tanks of the Indian Army and its Chinese counterpart the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) are now stationed within firing range of each other as tensions continue along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh, reports India Today.
As per the report the Chinese tanks are currently posted near the foothills of Kala Top which is being controlled by India. Both heavy and light tanks have been deployed by China in the area.
The Indian forces too are remain prepared to fend off any Chinese aggression. The report states that the Indian troops present at Kala Top are fully armed and equipped with tank and artillery support. An Indian Army tank regiment is also deployed near Spanggur Tso and Chushul.
It has been reported that the Indian Army had beaten China to occupy a strategic height at the southern region of the Pangong Tso lake in Eastern Ladakh.
The Indian Army's special operations battalion was recently pressed into action in the area and made its move on the intervening night of 29 and 30 August.
The special operations battalion moved in the night and occupied the heights near the area where Chinese troops are camped.
