IndiGo To Introduce Low Cost Business Class, One Stop Flights To Popular European Destinations

IndiGo Airlines country’s one of the few successful low-cost airlines is planning to introduce a low-cost business class to lure more travellers, especially for the Europe- Asia market.
The airlines seen as one of the world’s most successful budget carrier is mapping ambitious plans to extend its network to Europe and add more profits from its business class seats.
Speaking on the same, CEO Ronojoy Dutta said that “Once you get to six, seven, eight hours, the body gets tired, people need to use the washrooms more, people need to eat more frequently, all of those things change,” he continued adding that “We have to redesign our product. Is it more pitch, is it more food, is it more hot towels, is it a business class?”
IndiGo which now flies to Istanbul in its longest route, is aiming to start one-stop destinations to Europe within six Months.
IndiGo currently flies to 53 domestic and 18 international destinations and plans to deploy about half of its new capacity on international routes. It wants to operate one-stop flights to cities like London from New Delhi, while flying non-stop to countries like China, Vietnam, Myanmar and Russia.
