J&K Govt To Conduct Countrywide Roadshows To Attract Investment and Industries Ahead Of Global Investors Summit 2020

Set to pitch the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) as the ultimate investment destination for industrialists and investors,has decided to carry out nationwide roadshows with 54 of its top notch officials leading the campaign, the administration is set to host the Global Investors Summit 2020 soon, reports News18.
The report states that Chief Secretary B V R Subrahmanyam chaired the second apex committee meeting on Friday to gear up for a best effort towards ensuring a successful Global Investors Summit 2020, to be held in capital cities of Srinagar and Jammu.
The roadshows are scheduled to begin from 17 February and each roadshow will focus on showcasing specific sectors for seeking investment in Jammu and Kashmir.
As per reports, the roadshows will be held in Bengaluru and Kolkata on 17 February, in Mumbai on 21 February, in Hyderabad on 2 March, in Chennai on 5 March and in Ahmedabad on 9 March.
Additionally, the administration is also concocting plans to conduct roadshows at international destinations to attract global investors.
The preparations are led by chief secretary of the UT of J&K BVR Subrahmanyam with the administration aiming to hold the summit as a mega gala event.
