Kangna Ranaut Trolls India’s Former ‘Italian Government’; Says Nation Now Becoming Truly Independent

Popular actress who has time and again taken on the Bollywood establishment was today (29 April) recorded trolling the former ‘Italian government’ of India while speaking to media-persons.

In the video shared on social media, Ranaut is heard urging people to exercise their right to self-governance. Ranaut added that she feels that India is now truly becoming independent as in the past it has been part of the “British, Mughal and Italian government”.

This statement is being perceived by many as a direct attack on the erstwhile UPA government led by its chairperson Sonia Gandhi.

Ranaut has in the past been praised for taking some “so-called” politically incorrect positions. It was reported that she had refused to support Shabana Azmi’s letter campaign. She also claimed that Shabana Azmi had “character assassinated” her earlier when she was getting bullied in the film industry.
