Even as the number of Covid19 cases in the country are increasing, there seems to be a positive development as the number of recoveries too is on the rise.
The techie couple that was isolated and treated for Corona in Bengaluru have reported to have recovered with official sources confirming that they would be discharged later today.
State Minister for Health B Sriramulu confirmed the same in a media address this noon. Although there have been reports about the instructions from the union health department that may ensure their discharge be withheld until they complete the 14 day quarantine period.
Sriramulu added that of the total 15 cases reported in the state, five of them are on their way to recovery. The minister also announced plans to reserve the 2000 bed Victoria Hospital in capital city for the treatment of Covid19 cases and added that it would help in the case of an extreme outbreak, even if there were 10,000 cases.
“The recovery of these two patients reinstates that the disease is not fatal,” reassured Sriramulu.
As per the live tracker, the total number of cases in India that have recovered from the pandemic is currently 20. This is 10 per cent of the total cases(206) confirmed so far. While the percentage of those critically ill is just one per cent and that of deaths is two per cent.
