Mumbai: Second Covid-19 Case Reported In Dharavi; 52-Year-Old BMC Sanitization Worker Tests Positive

A second person is said to have tested positive for novel coronavirus in Dharavi area of Mumbai. The 52-year-old man is a resident of Worli area, however he works as a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) sanitisation worker in Dharavi.

Earlier, a 56-year-old resident of densely populated Dharavi in Mumbai who had contracted coronavirus died on Wednesday (1 April) evening. The incident prompted authorities to seal the entire society where he lived, which has over 300 flats and some 90 shops.

The man, the first covid-19 positive patient from Dharavi, had no foreign travel history, as per the health official at the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
