Chief Minister (CM) Naveen Patnaik led Odisha Government has floated a global e-tender to procure a whopping 3.8 crore doses of COVID–19 vaccines, reports Livemint.
The State Government has floated the tender through Odisha State Medical Corporation (OSMC). It mandates that the bidders will have to supply vaccines in four phases and that the Government will be issuing a separate purchase order for each of the phases.
The bidders will not be able to withdraw after the opening of the technical bids, within the minimum validity period of 180 days and also after accepting the Letter of Intent. Also, the successful bidders will be provided with an online tracking facility for knowing goods delivery status at the consignee location and progress on payment by OSMC.
OSMC is a State Government enterprise that provides services to various healthcare institutions which operate under the State’s Department of Health and Family Welfare. It serves as a central procurement agency for all essential drugs, equipment and other health commodities.

Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
