With 80 New Coronavirus Cases, Odisha’s Covid-19 Tally Increases To 1,269

The Covid-19 tally in Odisha saw an addition of 80 more cases raising the total number of positive cases in the state to 1,269, said the health department on Saturday (23 May).
The death toll in the state stands at seven as no new deaths were reported in the last two days.
With this, the active cases in the state stood at 826 while 436 persons have recovered so far.
Ganjam district has reported the highest 341 Covid-19 positive cases so far, followed by 239 infections in Jajpur, 128 in Balasore, 98 in Bhadrak, 74 in Khurdha, 65 in Puri, 57 in Cuttack, 40 in Kendrapada, 33 in Sundargarh, 33 in Boudh, 32 in Nayagarh and 30 in Jagatsinghpur.
Other districts that have reported under 20 cases include Angul (19), Mayurbhanj (14), Kalahandi (13), Keonjhar (11), Balangir (9), Malkangiri (8), Sambalpur (5), Kandhamal (5), Jharsuguda (5), Gajapati (4), two each in Dhenkanal, and Deogarh, and one each in Nawarangpur and Koraput.
