Odisha's Covid-19 Tally Rises To 4,163 With 108 New Cases, Over 2,850 Patients Recovered

The Covid-19 tally in Odisha saw the addition of 108 more cases in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of positive cases in the state to 4,163, said the state health department on Tuesday (16 June).

As many as eleven people have died in the state so far due to the Coronavirus.

Currently, Odisha has 1,295 active cases while 2,854 people have recovered from the disease.

Of the total cases, the highest 698 Covid-19 positive cases have been found in Ganjam district, followed by 369 infections in Khurdha, 343 in Cuttack, 341 in Jajpur, 216 in Balasore, 185 in Kendrapada,177 in Bhadrak, 170 in Puri, 167 in Jagatsinghpur,144 in Balangir,137 in Kandhamal,132 in Sundergarh, 121 in Mayurbhanj, 112 in Nayagarh, 106 in Gajapati, 75 in Keonjhar, 74 in Nuapada, 58 in Kalahandi and 52 in Dhenkanal.

Other districts that have reported 50 or less cases include Angul (48), Malkangiri (47), Deogarh (40), Boudh (38), Baragarh (35), Sonepur (31), Sambalpur (24), Jharsuguda (18), Koraput (17), Rayagada (12) and Nawarangpur (2).

Meanwhile, 174 National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), and Odisha Fire Service personnel, who had returned to Odisha following Cyclone Amphan restoration work, have also tested positive for the infection in the state.
