Ola electric has postponed the date for the next purchase window of its electric scooter to 16 December because of 'unprecedented' demand, the company said, reports Economic Times.
The booking date, initially supposed to be 1 November, was reportedly pushed back to deal with increasing demand and to minimise the delay in in delivery of the scooters.
The Ola S1, Ola S1 Pro electric scooter will now become available for bookings from 16 December.
"We’ve received unprecedented demand for our Ola S1 and S1 Pro scooters and are currently busy fulfilling existing orders!," Ola said in a note to customers.
"We will be opening our purchase window for fresh orders on December 16, 2021. We will reach out to you in the coming weeks to schedule your test ride," Ola said.
The first purchase window of the electric scooters opened on 15 September and closed the next day.
"Note that if you have already paid Rs 20,000 and secured your scooter during our first purchase window on September 15th and 16th, then there is no change for you. As communicated earlier, your final payment window will open from 10 November onwards basis our previous communication to you and your scooter is on track to reach you within the delivery window already communicated to you," the company further said.
