After holding bilateral delegation-level talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday (25 February), United States President Donald Trump said India and the US were committed to fight radical Islamic terrorism.
“In our discussions, PM Modi and I affirmed our two countries' commitment to protecting our citizens from radical Islamic terrorism,” said President Trump in his press statement after the talks.
He also said his country was also working with Pakistan to confront terrorists who operate from their soil.
“In this effort the US is also working productively with Pakistan to confront terrorists who operate on its soil,” he said, while calling out Pakistan’s support to terrorism
The two leaders held over an-hour-long discussions at the Hyderabad House in Delhi, discussing various topics related to Indian-US relations.
