With over 1,000 national and international defence major firms partaking in the DefExpo 2020, Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the nation's mega defence exhibition to be held in Lucknow on Wednesday (5 February), reports News18.
The latest edition of the five-day biennial exhibition would witness a wide gamut of the nation's aerospace, defence and security interests being covered with special focus at displaying the strong partnership between the public and private sector operating in the sector, including the small and medium enterprises.
PM Modi will be arriving at Lucknow's Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport at around 10 am on Wednesday, post which he would fly to the DefExpo venue via a helicopter. After the inauguration of the exhibition, he will be visiting the India and Uttar Pradesh (UP) state's pavillions at the expo.
Meanwhile, it is expected that Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will also be reaching Lucknow for the curtain-raiser event of the DefExpo 2020.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
