DefExpo-2020 aims to bring the leading technologies in the defence sector under one roof and provide a myriad of opportunities for government, private manufactures and startups.

According to the report, the number of companies registered for participating in the 11th edition of the DefExpo 2020 has reached 1,000. In the DefExpo 2018, held in Chennai, 702 companies had participated.

The event would provide an opportunity to stakeholders to explore and provide a vast gamut of opportunities across sectors like aerospace, defence and security.

Further, it should be noted that the DefExpo-2020 would also see participation from major defence manufacturing countries like the United States, Russia, Germany, France and the United Kingdom (UK).

The event is also being seen as a major push by the government towards building a huge military equipment manufacturing infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh which has one of the two designated defence industrial corridors.
