Over 100 individuals defied the nationwide lockdown in Rajasthan’s Sarwar town near Ajmer by gathering at the Khwaja Fakhruddin Chisti Dargah, Times Now has reported.
As per the report, every year a Chadar is offered from Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti’s Dargah in Ajmer to his son’s Dargah in Sarwar. The Ajmer Dargah committee had taken permission from the administration to visit the Dargah in Sarwar.
After it reached with the Chadar, over 100 people gathered at the Khwaja Fakhruddin Chisti Dargah. The cops as a result resorted to a lathi charge and filed cases against the violators. Six have been arrested in connection with the matter.
This incident follows the controversial Tablighi Jamaat event in Nizamuddin in mid March which has turned out to be one of the largest Covid-19 infection vectors in the country, with over 440 potential cases.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
