Swara BhaskerActor Swara Bhasker has claimed that she lost four brand endorsements and three events after campaigning in the Lok Sabha polls, Indian Express has reported.
“I lost four brands the day I campaigned for candidates for Lok Sabha election, lost three events”, Bhasker was quoted as saying.
Bhasker had campaigned for six candidates during the Lok Sabha polls and all six ended up losing. These candidates belonging to parties like the CPM, Congress and AAP included Digvijaya Singh, Kanhaiya Kumar, Aatishi Marlena, Raghav Chadha, Amra Ram and Dilip Pandey.
Bhasker had gone all the way to Begusarai to campaign for Kanhaiya Kumar and also coined the slogan “Jai Hind! Jai Bheem! Lal salaam!” during a speech. Kumar lost by a margin of 4.20 lakh votes.
Digvijaya SIngh lost by a margin of 3.70 lakh votes, Atishi Marlena lost by a 4.77 lakh margin and Raghav Chadha lost by 3.77 lakh votes. Dilip Pandey had lost his deposit.
