Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state secretary, SG Suryah and Kaushik Subramanian of the digital news portal, The Commune have been summoned by the Chidambaram Town police over alleged defamatory posts about events at the Nataraja temple in the past few days.
According to a report by the The New Indian Express, The Commune had posted a tweet in which it was said that Dikshitars were assaulted and their sacred thread cut.
A Village Administrative Officer Sheik Sirajudheen had filed the complaint, the report stated.
