Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy in his concluding remarks ahead of the much delayed floor test, threatened to disqualify the 15 odd rebel MLAs and warned that their political careers would come to an end, Firstpost has reported.
“The rebels will be disqualified. Their political career will come to an end”, Kumaraswamy was quoted as saying.
As reported by Times Now, Kumaraswamy also became emotional ahead of his floor test by claiming that he is ready to sacrifice the CM post.
Meanwhile, section 144 has been imposed across Bengaluru till tomorrow (24 July) following clashes between Congress and BJP workers. The police has also instructed liquor stores and pubs to remain closed till 25 July.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
