A local Trinamool leader from Bengal’s Birbhum district has lost both his hands after the bombs he was allegedly planting along a canal explode, Asianet has reported.
The intensity of the bomb was so high that nearby villagers fled the area in fear. The Trinamool leader identified as Mushtaq Sheikh is now said to be undergoing treatment at a nursing home.
The report claims that the Trinamool leaders rushed to cover up the bomb site and are now denying that any such incident even took place. The BJP has alleged that the Trinamool leader was planning to target a pro-CAA rally in the area.
It may be recalled that last year three Trinamool leaders had died while making bombs, which they were planning to hurl on their party rivals.

Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
