Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) has decided to relocate four metro pillars between Cyber Towers and Shilparamam flyover to make sure that there is enough carriageway for the movement of traffic, reported Telangana Today.
Constructing the pillars in the middle of the road would create a bottle-neck for the traffic and things could go worse with the vehicular movement. The pillars are being moved to the central median of the flyover. HMRL Managing Director NVS Reddy inspected the works from Cyber Towers to Raheja Mindspace junction on Sunday (30 September).
Train reversal facility is being created and measures are being taken to reduce the time to work on the viaduct. This will be 650 metres in length from HiTec City station to Trident Hotel. There might be a temporary closure of the road between Cyber Tower junction to Cyber Gateway junction.
Alternative routs are being looked at to deviate traffic. The work will speed up as the target is set by December by Governor ESL Narasimhan to launch the Ameerpet- HiTec city route.
The Miyapur to LB Nagar stretch is running at a frequency of 3.5 minutes.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
