SpiceJet has started daily flights connecting towns such as Surat, Bhopal, Gorakhpur, Jaipur and Dharamshala to Mumbai and Delhi, reports Ultra News.
The low-cost airline has reportedly started offering promotional fares starting at Rs 2,499 in all between Bhopal and Mumbai, Rs 3,299 on the Bhopal-Delhi sector and Rs 3,457 on the Bhopal-Surat sector. Prices on the Gorakhpur-Mumbai sector start at Rs 4,399.
With the new schedule, the airline has become the first to introduce daily direct flights on sectors such as Bhopal-Surat-Bhopal, Gorakhpur-Mumbai-Gorakhpur and Jaipur-Dharamshala-Jaipur.
All the new flights introduced will be operational daily, except the evening flight on the Bhopal-Delhi route which will fly on all days except Sunday.
With eight new flights, the highest boost in connectivity from the announcement is for Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. SpiceJet had recently added Bhopal as its fiftieth domestic destination.
The airline had introduced 10 direct flight services on the routes of Bhopal-Jaipur, Bhopal-Ahmedabad, Bhopal-Hyderabad and Bhopal-Shirdi.
It will deploy Boeing 737 and Bombardier Q-400 planes to service these new routes.
“We see immense potential in these sectors and are delighted to introduce these 12 new flights on our domestic network,” said Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Sales & Revenue Officer of SpiceJet, in the report.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
