Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists abducted and shot dead two civilians in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, the New Indian Express reports.
The two civilians - Ghulam Hassan Dar alias Hassan Rassa and Bashir Ahmad Dar - were abducted from their house in Shahgund Hajin in north Kashmir last night. Hassan (45) was reportedly an uncle of Ahmed (26), a driver by profession.
"At about 3:30 am today, the militants shot both of them dead," a police official said, adding that their bodies were found near a local mosque.
"Preliminary investigation suggests the involvement of outlawed terror outfit LeT in the incident," the official said.
"A case has been registered and investigations taken up," he added.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
