UP: Violent Anti-CAA Rioters Tried To Burn 30-35 Cops Alive After Trapping Them, Reveals Meerut SP

The SP of Meerut City has revealed shocking details about the anti-citizenship amendment act (CAA) violence by claiming that the rioters were ready to burn alive 30-35 policemen, Times Now has reported.
As per the SP, the rioters had managed to trap 30-35 cops and local journalists in a shop at Nisari Gate and attempted to torch it.
The mob numbering a thousand, turned violent and trapped the cops and journalists sitting inside the shop by downing its shutters and locking it from outside. The group could only be saved after reinforcements arrived.
The incident happened on 20 December and now efforts are on to identify the perpetrators.
