Aspirants preparing for Indian Economic Service or Indian Statistical Service examination will soon be able to fill up the form as Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is expected to release the notification for the same in March, reports Jagran.
According to the calendar published by the UPSC, the notification will be released on 20 March 2019 and the online application will be opened till 16 April 2019. The commission will conduct the exam for the same on 28 June 2019. The age of the candidate should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years.
For Indian Economic Service, post-graduate degree in economics/applied economics/business economics/economtrics from a recognised university is required.
For Indian Statistical Service, a bachelor's degree with statistics/mathematical statistics/applied statistics as one of the subjects or a master's degree in the same from a recognised university is required.
Every year UPSC conducts this examination for recruitment to Junior Time Scale of the Services. Candidates are required to clear the written examination as well as the interview/personality test. The candidates can remain updates through the official website of UPSC, upsc.gov.in.
