Chief Minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh (UP) Government has set up dedicated COVID care centres (CCCs) to ensure adequate and prompt healthcare support for the police forces of the State, reports Indian Express.
The CCCs for police forces have been set up by the State Government across Reserve Police Lines in 66 districts and 34 PAC battalions. These centres have a total of 2,993 beds, of which 299 are equipped with oxygen support.
Meanwhile, an additional provision of 628 beds has been made for better treatment of the afflicted PAC personnel. Of these beds, 45 are equipped with oxygen support.
These centres will help provide proper isolation and quarantine facility, as well as immediate medical aid to asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic police personnel.
As per details shared by the State’s Information Department, as many as 589 police personnel have already received treatment at the CCCs. Of these, 244 have already been discharged, while another 322 are presently undergoing treatment.
The development gains significance in view of the recent surge of fresh COVID-19 cases in the State.

Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
