Tej Pratap Yadav, son of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) patriarch Lalu Prasad Yadav, has made headlines once again after his BMW car was involved in an accident with an auto in Varanasi’s Rohaniya area, reports Dainik Jagran.
The incident took place today (14 November) morning after which the vehicle was not left in a drivable condition. An argument broke out between Tej Pratap’s driver, Jayapal and the man driving the auto as the former asked the latter to pay compensation of Rs 1,80,000.
The auto driver said that he couldn’t pay such a large amount, so he was beaten up by Tej Pratap’s driver and put inside one of their escort vehicles. Tej Pratap himself was not in his vehicle when the accident took place, as only Jayapal and his PA Srajan Swaraj were travelling in it at that time.
The police was able to diffuse the situation after arriving at the scene, and took the parties to the local police station where both sides their respective complaints.

The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
