With 86 New Coronavirus Cases, Odisha’s Covid-19 Tally Increases To 1,189

The Covid-19 tally in Odisha saw an addition of 86 more cases raising the total number of positive cases in the state to 1,189, said the health department on Friday (22 May).
The death toll in the state stands at seven as no new deaths were reported till 2.00 PM Friday.
With this, the active cases in the state stood at 746 while 436 persons have recovered so far.
Ganjam district has reported the highest 322 Covid-19 positive cases so far, followed by 225 infections in Jajpur, 125 in Balasore, 98 in Bhadrak, 74 in Khurdha, 56 in Cuttack, 48 in Puri, 40 in Kendrapada, 33 in Boudh, 30 in Jagatsinghpur, 28 in Sundargarh and 27 in Nayagarh.
Other districts that have reported under 20 cases include Angul (19), Mayurbhanj (14), Kalahandi (13), Keonjhar (11), Balangir (8), Sambalpur (5), Kandhamal (3), Malkangiri (3), two each in Jharsuguda, Dhenkanal, and Deogarh, and one in Koraput.
