Yogi Govt Gives 7 Days To Anti-CAA Rioters To Defend Property Seizure Notice, Will Then Start Making Them Pay

The Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh state government has issued a seven day deadline to anti-citizenship amendment act (CAA) rioters to defend the property seizure notice.
If the committee is not satisfied with their response, the proceedings will begin to make them pay for compensation, Times of India has reported.
In the event of the rioters not having funds to pay for the damages, their properties would be auctioned off.
In total 150 such notices have been sent to rioters in Lucknow for a total damage amount of Rs 2.54 crore. Forty notices have been sent in Muzaffarnagar worth Rs 56.7 lakh, 28 notices for Rs 14.86 lakh have been sent in Rampur, 15 notices worth Rs 10.97 lakh have been sent in Kanpur and 43 notices for Rs 19.7 lakh have been issued in Bijnor.
