The Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government will today (29 May) sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the industry bodies like Indian Industries Association (IIA), National Real Estate Development Council and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to provide employment to 9.5 lakh workers in the state, Times of India has reported.
IIA and NAREDCO has promised to employ 7.5 lakh workers each year with the IIA asking the state government to share the data on returnee migrant workers.
IIA as a result seeks to create a task-force comprising representatives of IIA, MSME, labour department and directorate of industries to device ways to provide employment to the returnee workers.
The Yogi government has already completed the skill mapping of 14.75 lakh migrant workers who have returned back to the state in a bid to find suitable employment for them.
The Yogi government has also set up a Migrant Commission to help the workers find jobs and emotional security in their own state.

Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
