BJP’s youngest Member of Parliament Tejaswi Surya who won from South Bangalore with a huge margin of 3 lakh votes contributed to a beautification drive on the occasion of World Environment Day on Wednesday (5 June).

Surya also took to twitter to share some pictures and videos of him participating in the beautification activities.

He was joined by actor Samyukta Hornad, former mayor S K Natraj and his supporters for the events which were hosted at SSVM school and Kanakpura Road.

Surya who enjoys a cult following on social media was elected as South Bangalore’s MP after defeating Congress candidate B K Hariprasad.

He was given the party ticket at the expense of late BJP leader Ananth Kumar’s widow Tejaswini. This had led to media speculating a possible rift within the party. Tejaswini was later appointed the BJP vice president.
