On 23 October, Gautami Tadimalla, a renowned actor, announced her decision to sever ties with the BJP after 25 years.

Tadimalla cited various reasons for her exit, including allegations of support from a faction within the party towards a man who had allegedly deceived her.

In a detailed statement, she claimed that a specific individual had deceived her by taking away her money, property, and important documents.

She expressed her disappointment in not receiving any support from the party and its leaders and was disheartened to discover that some of them were actually aiding and supporting the person who had betrayed her trust and stolen her hard-earned savings.

She remembered reporting the cheating to the police and expressed her trust in Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and the judicial system to deliver justice in her case.

During the 2021 polls, Tadimalla was given the responsibility of developing the Rajapalayam constituency.

She expressed regret that despite her 25 years of service to the organization, there was no support, even though she had maintained her commitment to the party, despite the last-minute rescission of the assurance to contest.
