A day after Tihar jail authorities wrote to Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's health, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) claimed that the BJP was conspiring to kill Kejriwal.

AAP's Saurabh Bharadwaj held a press conference on Sunday (21 April) alleging that Kejriwal's sugar level is continuously increasing, but despite requests, he is neither being given insulin nor allowed to talk to the doctor.

In its report, the Tihar jail administration said that Kejriwal was on a basic anti-diabetes oral medicine and had stopped taking insulin months before his arrest.

However, another AAP leader Atishi questioned jail authorities for not giving insulin to Kejriwal. "The CM has been taking insulin for 12 years, what is the problem for the Tihar administration to give insulin to him," she said.

The jail report claimed that as per the MLC report available from RML Hospital, Kejriwal was neither advised of any insulin nor any requirement of any insulin indicated.

The report adds that CM Kejriwal told Doctors that he had been taking insulin for the last few years and stopped taking insulin a few months back allegedly by a Telangana Doctor.

However, the AAP reiterated its attacks as Bharadwaj said, "The BJP central government wants that due to increased sugar, Kejriwal's kidneys, liver, heart and eyes get damaged and he dies."

He also alleged that while other prisoners were being given insulin, Kejriwal was deliberately deprived of it. He accused the jail authorities of not providing a diabetes specialist doctor for Kejriwal.
