Amit Shah Directs Implementation Of Area Domination And Zero Terror Plan In Jammu Division Like Kashmir Valley

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday (16 June) directed security agencies to replicate the successes achieved in Kashmir valley through the Area Domination Plan and Zero Terror Plan in the Jammu division.

In a high-level review meeting on the security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir after recent terror attacks, Shah said that an example should be set by cracking down on terrorists through innovative means.

Shah directed all security agencies to work in a mission mode and ensure quick response in a coordinated manner. Asserting that the fight against terrorism is in its decisive phase, he said it should be rooted out.

He added that recent incidents show that terrorism has been forced to shrink from highly organised acts of terrorist violence to a mere proxy war and emphasised on seamless coordination amongst the security agencies.

Reiterating the Zero Tolerance Policy against Terrorism under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shah said that the government will leave no stone unturned in rooting out terrorism.

He cited positive results seen in Kashmir valley with significant reduction in terror-related incidents and improvement in the law-and-order situation leading to the record flow of tourists in Kashmir Valley.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu-Kashmir Manoj Sinha, Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pandey, Union Home Secretary and other officials were present during the meeting.
