As the NDA government nears the completion of 11 consecutive years in power, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for a nationwide outreach to showcase its achievements — particularly its focus on poverty alleviation and last-mile delivery.
In a post on X, Modi described his government as compassionate and devoted to the welfare of the poor, highlighting that “over 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty” over the past decade.
The Centre, he said, remains committed to building an inclusive and self-reliant India where every citizen can live with dignity.
According to a report by Business Standard, the Prime Minister pointed to key schemes like PM Awas Yojana, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, and Ayushman Bharat as instrumental in transforming lives of the people.
These initiatives, he said, have ensured greater access to housing, clean cooking fuel, banking, and healthcare.
He also noted that efforts such as Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT), digital inclusion, and improved rural infrastructure have enhanced transparency and service delivery.
"A compassionate government, devoted to Garib Kalyan! Over the past decade, the NDA Government has taken pathbreaking steps to uplift several people from the clutches of poverty, focussing on empowerment, infrastructure and inclusion. All our key schemes have transformed the lives of the poor. Initiatives like PM Awas Yojana, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana and Ayushman Bharat have enhanced access to housing, clean cooking fuel, banking and healthcare. The push for DBT, digital inclusion and rural infrastructure has ensured transparency and faster delivery of benefits till the last mile," PM Modi said in a post on X.
"It is due to this that over 25 crore people have defeated poverty. The NDA remains committed to building an inclusive and self-reliant India, where every citizen has the opportunity to live with dignity," he added.
Earlier on Wednesday, PM Modi chaired a meeting of the Union Council of Ministers, urging ministries to set ambitious goals and intensify their efforts.
Ministers were asked to spotlight the government's signature initiatives and communicate their impact effectively on the ground.
The outreach campaign is expected to culminate around 9 June, which marks the first anniversary of Modi’s third consecutive term as Prime Minister.
