Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh has expressed worry about unemployment, linking it to the recent security breach in the Lok Sabha.
As reported by Hindustan Times, the Congress MP questioned the employment status of the suspects involved and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address the underlying issues.
"Unemployment is a significant issue. The fact that unemployed youth are driven to such desperate acts on the day Parliament was attacked by terrorists is something all politicians, and particularly PM Narendra Modi, must deliberate upon," wrote the former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh on X in a compelling statement.
The security breach occurred on Wednesday (13 December), the 22nd anniversary of the Parliament terror attack, with two intruders entering the Lok Sabha chamber during Zero Hour.
The individuals released gas and shouted slogans before being overpowered by MPs.
In response, the Delhi Police Special Cell filed a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act against six individuals apprehended in connection with the incident.
