Amid ongoing tensions between Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk, Russia has poked fun at the increasingly bitter online feud between the US President and the tech billionaire.

On Friday (6 June), Dmitry Medvedev, former Russian president and prime minister, offered to mediate peace between the two and requested Starlink shares as payment.

"We are ready to facilitate the conclusion of a peace deal between D and E for a reasonable fee and to accept Starlink shares as payment," Medvedev posted on X, adding, "Don’t fight, guys!".

Musk, owner of the satellite internet service Starlink, responded with a laughing face emoji, reported India Today.

Medvedev's quip highlights the glee and schadenfreude among Russian leadership as Trump and Musk's public fallout intensifies.

Trump, currently attempting to broker peace between Russia and Ukraine, has clashed with Musk over criticism of his administration's tax and spending bill.

Musk, once a Trump supporter and head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), called the legislation a "disgusting abomination."

After his exit from DOGE, Musk escalated the feud by accusing the two-time President of ties to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

Beyond mediation, some Russian officials are even offering Musk political asylum.

Dmitry Novikov, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, told Russian state news agency Tass, "I think that Musk has a completely different game, [so] he will not need any political asylum, although if he did, Russia, of course, could provide it."

Russian senator Dmitry Rogozin echoed this sentiment, tweeting, "Elon, don't be upset! If you encounter insurmountable problems in the US, come to us and become one of us. Here you will find reliable comrades and complete freedom of technical creativity."
