Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge accepted the results of the Lok Sabha elections and called it a mandate against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said that no party, especially the ruling BJP, could secure a full majority which means that it is a moral loss for PM Modi as he was seeking votes in his name.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that his party fought elections against BJP, India's institutions which were captured by Modi and Amit Shah and half judiciary.

He said that INDI Alliance's performance damaged Adani's stocks. "The country unanimously stated that we do not want Narendra Modi to run this country," Gandhi added.

Notably, the Congress will be unable to touch a three-digit tally, while the BJP is leading in 240-odd seats. Moreover, the combined seats of the INDI Alliance is less than that of the BJP.
