In a significant development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has highlighted the government's robust efforts to bolster cooperatives in rural areas, citing significant expansion in agriculture and fisheries.
During an interaction with participants in the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,' he underscored the transformative impact of welfare schemes on millions of lives over the past decade.
As reported by The New Indian Express, PM Modi expressed contentment in witnessing enhanced self-confidence among beneficiaries.
He noted the distribution of 'Ayushman' cards to one crore people, providing crucial health insurance for the underprivileged.
Taking a dig at previous administrations, he contrasted the current streamlined process with the past bureaucratic hurdles, emphasising the elimination of nepotism and bribery in accessing government benefits.
PM Modi emphasised his inclusive approach, stating, "Modi is like family to you. You don't need any connection."
Highlighting achievements in the last decade, he mentioned that 10 crore women have joined self-help groups, receiving Rs 7.5 lakh crore through banks.
