In the INDI Alliance meeting held today (05 June), Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge announced that the opposition bloc would welcome any party sharing a fundamental commitment to the values outlined in the Preamble of the Constitution.
This statement came during the first meeting of the opposition grouping after its significant gains in the Lok Sabha polls.
In his opening remarks, the Congress chief said, "I thank all INDIA alliance partners. We fought well, fought unitedly, and fought resolutely."
Kharge stated, "The mandate is decisively against Modi, against him and the substance and style of his politics. It is a huge political loss for him personally, apart from being a clear moral defeat as well. However, he is determined to subvert the will of the people."
