Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, released on interim bail by the Supreme Court, will hold a roadshow in South Delhi on Saturday (11 May).
The apex court has granted bail to Kejriwal, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case, till 1 June to campaign for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
Following the SC order, Kejriwal, lodged in Tihar jail, was released from the prison.
Outside the jail, he was welcomed by his supporters.
During his first public appearance post-release, Kejriwal said, "We have to save this country from dictatorship".
"I am fighting against it with all of my might," he added.
Kejriwal will visit the Hanuman Temple in Delhi's Connaught Place today (11 May) and hold a roadshow in South Delhi.
The Delhi Chief Minister is also scheduled to hold a press conference later in the day at the Aam Aadmi Party office in Delhi.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is likely to feature Kejriwal prominently in their nationwide campaign, especially with the fourth phase of polling approaching on 13 May.
The election for the seven Lok Sabha seats in New Delhi is set for 25 May.
Kejriwal's release from the jail was termed as "triumph of truth" by the AAP.
However, Home Minister Amit Shah sought to downplay his release, saying that it was an interim bail and not a regular one.
Kejriwal is likely to surrender before authorities after his bail term ends on 1 June.
"This is not regular bail. It is an interim bail. He can campaign but every time he goes to campaign, people will be reminded of the excise scam," Shah said in West Bengal's Raniganj, NDTV reported.
