Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a five-nation tour from 2 July, covering Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina, Brazil, and Namibia.
The strategic outreach aims to strengthen India’s partnerships across Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
PM Modi will also participate in the BRICS Summit in Brazil.
According to a report by The New Indian Express, Modi’s first stop will be Ghana (Second and Third of July), marking the first bilateral visit to the nation by an Indian Prime Minister in over three decades.
He is expected to meet President Nana Akufo-Addo to discuss cooperation in energy, defence, and development, while reinforcing ties with ECOWAS and the African Union.
PM Modi will then travel to Trinidad & Tobago (Third and Fourth of July ), where he will meet President Christine Carla Kangaloo and Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar.
PM Modi is also scheduled to address a joint session of Parliament, underscoring historical and diaspora connections.
On 4 and 5 July, PM Modi will visit Argentina to meet President Javier Milei.
Discussions will centre on expanding cooperation in agriculture, mining, renewable energy, and defence.
From 5 to 8 July July, PM Modi will be in Brazil for the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, which will be followed by a state visit.
He will meet President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in Brasília to strengthen strategic ties in trade, space, and health.
India is expected to raise cross-border terrorism at the summit.
The final leg of the tour on 9 July will see PM Modi visiting Namibia, where he will hold talks with President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and address the Namibian Parliament..
