Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Andhra Pradesh on Thursday (16 October) to inaugurate, lay foundation stones for, and dedicate multiple development projects worth Rs 13,430 crore across six key sectors.

The visit will begin with a spiritual stop in Srisailam, followed by a major public programme in Kurnool, where the Prime Minister will participate in the "Super GST Super Savings" event alongside Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan.

The Prime Minister will arrive in Srisailam at around 11:15 AM, where he will perform Pooja and Darshan at Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam in Nandyal district.

Following the temple visit, he will visit the Sri Shivaji Spoorthi Kendra at 12:15 PM, a memorial complex commemorating Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's historic 1677 visit to the shrine. Key development initiatives will focus on industrial projects.

The Prime Minister is then set to lay the foundation stone for the Transmission System Strengthening at Kurnool-III Pooling Station, a Rs 2,880 crore project featuring a 765 KV double-circuit transmission line.

The initiative will enhance transformation capacity by 6,000 MVA, facilitating large-scale renewable energy transmission to support national growth.

In a significant push for industrial development, the PM will also inaugurate the Orvakal Industrial Area in Kurnool and the Kopparthy Industrial Area in Kadapa, with a combined investment of over Rs 4,920 crore.

Developed by NICDIT and APIIC, these multi-sectoral hubs offer plug-and-play infrastructure and a walk-to-work model, expected to attract Rs 21,000 crore in investments and generate around one lakh jobs in Rayalaseema.

To strengthen road connectivity, the PM will lay the foundation stone for the six-lane Greenfield Highway from Sabbavaram to Sheelanagar (Rs 960 crore) and inaugurate six other road projects worth Rs 1,140 crore, improving safety, reducing travel time, and facilitating trade across the state.

Key railway projects worth over Rs 1,200 crore, including the Kottavalasa–Vizianagaram Fourth Line and new rail flyovers, will also be dedicated to the nation. In energy, the Srikakulam–Angul Gas Pipeline (Rs 1,730 crore) and Indian Oil’s LPG plant in Chittoor (Rs 200 crore) will be inaugurated.

Defence production will be strengthened with Bharat Electronics’ Advanced Night Vision Products Factory at Nimmaluru, Krishna district, built at Rs 360 crore, promoting self-reliance and skilled employment.
