Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced an investigation into BJP MLC Pravin Darekar's allegations that NCP leader Sharad Pawar conspired with Manoj Jarange-Patil to create tensions in the state through Maratha reservation demand.
"The SIT (special investigation team) will be formed and it will conduct its probe and all the things will be revealed,” Shinde was quoted as saying by Indian Express in the state legislature on Tuesday (27 February).
Darekar had demanded Patil's arrest for his remarks on Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and alleged that a conspiracy was planned at Congress MLA Rajesh Tope’s factory and that NCP MLA Rohit Pawar was also present there.
He quoted Sangeeta Wankhede, a former associate of Patil to point out that Patil was connected with Sharad Pawar on calls. A ruckus followed after these allegations and the House was adjourned for a few minutes.

The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
